PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy for XCWeather

This page explains what types of information I receive when you visit XCWeather, and how I safeguard that information.

Advertising

CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive (“Raptive”) is a service provider of this site for the purposes of placing advertising on the site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Raptive’s data usage, click here: https://raptive.com/creator-advertising-privacy-statement

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that the browser stores on your computer or mobile phone. You can think of cookies as providing a “memory” for the website, allowing me to store your preferences so you don’t have to reset them each time you visit (for example, whether you prefer wind speed in miles per hour or knots). I also use a cookie to store your previous forecast locations. You can clear the location history at any time by clicking the bin icon to the right of each location.

Analytics

When someone visits XCWeather, Google generates anonymous analytics information. Google Analytics tells me how many users I have and how often they visit the site. I cannot use this information to identify individuals. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Log Files

As with most websites, my web servers create log files that allow me to troubleshoot errors and understand site usage. The information in these logs may include IP address, browser type, time of visit, and pages viewed. These logs are automatically deleted after 14 days.

If you didn’t find the answer to your question here, you can contact me at enquiries@xcweather.co.uk.
